I hope you have a good Halloween. We don't have that many children in our neighborhood anymore so I just don't do it anymore. I am sure you can deal with this. You got to, you are my quit buddy :eg: What is left over you can send to Gonna for her draw at work :p Again congrats on two weeks. We are getting there day by day. I would prolly eat all the candy :8o: Also,if the neighbor was smoking, I would not be able to handle that real well that early in my quit. Jan, you got almost 2 weeks, and being around kids should boost your quit, as most people don't smoke around them. Trick or treat around here means there is no time to smoke, they come to the door in packs. Everyting you do now will be different, every holiday, every time you visit a pub, even the times where you visit with people you used to smoke with. Life as a non smoker is enjoyable but DIfferent! Take it a little bit at a time and protect your quit from outside influences. Enjoy your new freedom. Jan For me handing out all those treats is a great pleasure. I wouldn't have smoked. I would have my fun and have snuck out back to puff. For me it's going to be concentrating on the front door, keeping my little howler inside and satisfied. My main objective or image that I have for the evening is to have lots of fun I will keep my focus on my having fun, laughing and joking with the kids that come along and leave the rest to up above, as I shell out treats. Hope this helps. What we focus on grows. If we are looking at how we will do this and smoke that is probably what we will do. If we can look at it and see where we can have fun and be free that is probably what we will do. Stay Strong. Give those girls a comfy hug for being so watchful on Halloween. Jan, What you have to think of at this time are the "triggers". I think you are correct by changing up your tradition this year. This may help you cope with your quit and enjoy Halloween at the same time. Your thoughts? Melanie __________________________ The SSC Support Team
