Blah blah blah

Marie, Don't worry about your BLAH experience - it is quite common. I had series of BLAH patches every couple of months or so for quite some time. It does go eventually, but in the meantime just try and cope the best you can....sounded like you did the right thing. You should spring back to normal in a couple of days. At least you have a puppy to hug! Marie, I remember so well when I was going though it...thought I was going mad. The problem is to do with brain chemistry - you get a temporary dip in seratonin levels whilst your body is healing. I have come out of this with much more sympathy for people who suffer from depression - at least we recover in 2-3 days. Hang on in there - the worst is over, and it gets better the further you go. Lizzie :)

we're a bit like an infant that has lost it's sugar tit....we struggle and fuss, but in the end sleep comes on it's own....and each time the infant is tired, it's easier to sleep without the 'binki' When nothing else works, tie a knot and just hang on....cause the whole thing DOES continue to work itself out and get better....some day you will no longer think of smoking....and you won't have that "missing something" feeling either! Marie.....I know that personally I would forget that I had bad days and blue periods even when I was smoking. When I quit, I blamed every bad, down, bummer mood on quitting.....then I finally opened my eyes.....shoot, it was just life in general. I think the junky likes for us to think all the bad in our lives is cause we quit smoking. Breath deep...give yourself a reward and keep on truckin. ;)Katy
