Yes, Thank you. I'm learning to cope with problems beyond my control whether I smoked or didn't. So my mantra is N.O.P.E. Whoever thought of that is a genius. It's simple. It works. It's easily applied to everyday life. Because the smoker is constantly in a state of withdrawl, I've noticed symptoms in others. I'm around smokers all the time, but now it's different. I actually understand that they don't want to light up, it's the dementor in the pleasure center of the brain that's forcing them. Like a cartoon caracter at the control panel in someone else's head. The nicodemon goes on auto pilot. I'm thankful to all of you that were there to support me. I hope that you all are finding your innerstrength to defeat this thing. You are stronger than it is. BTW..Someone mentioned movies...did anyone see "Thank you for Smoking"? I thought it was great. I found that it was not centered totally on smoking but more on lobbying, and spinning the truth. I thought it would be hard to watch, but I was suprised to find it didn't bother me. My hubby couldn't watch it, and he's a smoker. I guess it fed ideas to the nicodemon?? What did you think of it? I'm checking back in after an extended time away from the site. I was wondering how the Septenders were doing. I thought I'd check it out. I'm blown away to see so many familiar names still hanging in there with their quit. Good for you! I was astounded to see that 60 days has gone by. I'm a different person than I was 60 days ago. My thought process has changed, and I have good days and bad, but not as bad as when I was smoking. It seems like a different life. My family has finally adjusted to the change in my habit. I've taken up a new hobby that I enjoy. I feel that I may have kicked this thing after all. Cravings aside the hardest thing was finding a new behavioral pattern. The best thing was finding a support group to mentally lean on. N.O.P.E. Hang in there.
