Feeling out of the Loop - is this natural progression?

Windy, I feel the same way, dear. I just posted for the Junebugs to check in. I haven't had much time to post, but I check in daily for a minute or two. I needed to step back from and focus on something else for a little while. I seemed to be struggling in my quit, and now that I'm focused on something else, my quit got much easier. The days are flying by on my meter now. My three year old is sitting on my lap as we speak, so I can't spend any amount of time here now. I'll try again later Andrea My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 178 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,576 Amount Saved: $845.5 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 1 Mins: 1 Seconds: 53

Guilty as charged! I have not been around as much mainly because I felt I was spending too much time here and sometimes I actually crave more when I read...so...I step back for awhile and regroup, concentrate on home or work. When I get like this I still come in briefly just to get an idea of what's going on, etc... I think about you guys all the time, though! Windy, you are a very important part of my quits and your support is one reason I want to come back soon. You are not out of the loop, maybe loopie :eg: but never out of the loop. You are one of my special SSC friends.

Hi Windy ~ not too much to add to what others have said - but everybody moves on when it's "time" and that's good. We're glad You're Here! We appreciate you too. That's worth something. AND you're QUIT! Big BIG bonus...... Windy You are not alone in your feelings. This is a place full of all different sorts. Many, many of the folks that quit at the same time as me post rarely. When they do it brings me joy because I know they are out there. Know that when you post you bring information, knowledge and make a contribution. It matters not if you are posting as a cheer leader or asking questions and presenting problems, the contribution is the same. Please don't be afraid to share all of what is going on with you. When everything is in the open there is more knowledge and information for all and the journey is made smoother for all. Thanks Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 289 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,234 Amount Saved: $2312 Life Gained: Days: 47 Hrs: 3 Mins: 51 Seconds: 4

Windy, You aren't ever alone. There seems to be a few of us that just don't go away. Others pop in from time to time. When I quit there were about 30 of us around most of the time and slowly they went away and I remember feeling the way you do now. Your fellow quitters will pop back in to celebrate milestones and probably around the Christmas holiday. As far a posting, we are all addicts and I suspect there will always be times that we will have cravings or a tough time. They say it takes 1 to 1.5 years to really quit smoking and I had difficult days throughout. If you want to post about a difficult time feel free to do so. Certainly at 82 days you have a ways to go in your journey. I think you are doing marvelous and know that at 82 days I was still having a lot of trouble keeping my quit. Earlier today, I had that old "taste" for a cigarette in my mouth. It just doesn't bother me like it use to because I know it will go away soon. As time goes on, we just cope with the changes. Don't ever be afraid to reach out for a helping hand. That is why we stick around. Windy, You have been inspiring since the day you arrived. You offer suport and your own wisdom to other quitters. Don't underestimate the power you have to influence others along the quit journey. The fact that you are here with days on your meter is inspiration. Added to that is your kindness and your natural ability to share your compassion with others. You are a wonderful asset to this quit family. I think it is important to post whatever you can, in whatever way you can. I have noticed lately that the boards have been very slow, and there is little to motivate, inspire, or just plain getting the rational brain to say HEY, THAT MAKES SENSE! You never know when someone will read your post and say - That is exactly what I needed to here - to get them through that minute, hour, or day. Even if it is not awe inspiring, for some, just knowing someone gives a damn to post and WAY TO GO is what helps. Keep posting Everyone My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 158 Amount Saved: $80.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 24 Seconds: 37

Windy welcome to the world of the quit. What you are feeling is part of this thing called the road to freedom from nicotine addiction. We all experience different feelings along the way and not all of them are positive. Please understand that you are NORMAL and we have all gone through this. We post less, we read less, we only look for the winners as we go on along this road and that is OK. Contribute where you can, help others when you are feeling ok, and be aware and take care of YOU always. Congratulations on your 82 days of freedom and just think only 18 more days and you will be 100 :) Duffis My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 657 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 19,734 Amount Saved: $1688.49 Life Gained: Days: 131 Hrs: 13 Mins: 30 Seconds: 7
