My - oh my - one year tomorrow!

For some it my sound great! My ticks may not tally as great in number as others, but each of us battle daily to hold on to that quit at whatever level it held us. I am so excited about my one year of my quit tomorrow. My journey started all alone as I daily faced my favorite person, my hubby, who still steps out for his smokes each night. He comes back in with - in the beginning it was a smell that drove me crazy with desire - now I find him stinky and I make him go and wash up. lol. My battle with those last three to four smokes in the end - oh they were the hardest to give up. I dragged out this quit for months before doing it. Finally, I just couldn't breath any longer - my chest burned and hurt so bad with each puff. I knew I was doing so much harm to myself. My asthma is almost a memory - I am off two of my medicines. I only use an inhailer occasionally - on a RUN for short distances. I can run and with time - I will be able to run longer. To all those that just started this journey - hang in there. Crave the quit. Long for your journey and whatever brought you to the point of tossing that pack in the trash. (For me)My kids - my lungs - living life healthier. It is all so much easier. Hopefully - stinky out back will start to crave the quit - he has to do it for himself - just like you did it for yourself. Pat yourself on the back for one more hour, day, week, month, and for me - tomorrow - a year. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 365 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,190 Amount Saved: $492.75 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 16 Mins: 55 Seconds: 37

Closet, I needed that, thanks. Like you I quit because I couldn't breathe, because my chest burned and hurt so bad with each puff. I'm only at 25 days so you give me a lot to look forward to. Especially on such a day as this where the quit is oh so hard to keep.
