Worst time of day AM. Any suggestions?

Hi Mike, i am very new to all of this myself but I also have trouble in the mornings as well. Do you drink coffee? I did and found this to be a trigger. I have switched to a lite coffee that has 50% less caffeine as so far it helps. Some days are worse than others. I also try to avoid taking xanax unless I really need it. I hope the Effexor works for you :) Renee

I have my worst anxiety first thing in the morning when I wake up. I would think this is a common thing. Do any of you that suffer anxiety feel the effects most strongly first thing in the morning? If so, are there special techniques to use to help get you on to the rest of the day? Meditation? Walking? Exercise? Reading? Im up for anything but I'd like to avoid popping another Xanax right off the bat. As I get going and off to work or daily chores I usually feel better and only have sporadic anxiety sessions (not stong attacks)throughout the day. But in the AM it is pretty overwhelming. I begin my Effexor today, will this help my mornings? Any suggestions will be appreciated, Mike
