WOW
Thanks so very, very much. I am totally honoured and most emotionally touched.
Quitting has been such a huge piece of my life for the past 287 days and all of you quitters here at the SSC have been so very elemental in helping, supporting and bringing me into account inorder to stay quit. For that and for each of you I am grateful.
It is my fervent hope that if by telling my story and in offering my support to any quiter here I might possibly have been of some assistance in extending a life, maintaining a quit, that by working to Not One Puff Ever I will have been of service.
I am so very grateful for this site and the quitters that have gone before me, those that are right along side me and those following, because it is from each of you that I gather momentum and bring myself forward to grab my piece of life from the gnarly hand of addiction.
Today is an incredible day for me. It is a day of being honoured with the SSC Hall of Fame. This day also marks the anniversary of my sisters death in 2001, a death caused by cancer and a death that brought a waste of life to someone so young. She would have turned 50 on December 6th of the year she died. I miss her and mourn her and didicate my quit to her. Because in seeing her, loose her life, I was given the key to mine. Today is also World Aids Day, for me, a huge and momentus day of remebrance and awareness. A day where I honour and maintain the memory of some very important people in my life and some amazingly dear friends. Oh yes, this day, today also marks the 41st week of my being quit. Not One Puff Ever, no slips, no fudging 287 days of being quit.
Thanks all. I will be back after work to celebrate some more.
Stay Strong - Stay Quit!
The Power is Inside.
