Hi Michelle Congrats!!! that is super!. I did it today too. I drove and today my stomach wasn't sore. I couldn't sleep lastnight, but my stomach was not sore this morning. Anyway Michelle that is so super. Your boyfriend drives like my husband does (haha) I'm always doing the break thing with my foot when I'm a passanger with him. I know I'm real proud of myself, and it is going good. I know just hope wheather stays nice long enough for me to be more comfortable. I worry we will get heavy rain. I drove in it once and it scared me so much. There is always something to worry about. Anyway keep up the great work. Will talk to yoyu soon. Diane :)

Hi Diane & Kajikit, I am finally starting to feel more like myself. Today I had to drive to the Denturist which is quite a ways away from home. I am happy to report I made it there and back by myself. It really does feel good that I know I can do it. Even if my stomach hurts I can still do it. Diane, you seem to be doing very well. You should be very proud of yourself for going outside of your boundaries. Kajikit, What kind of symptoms do you get when you have anxiety while being a passenger? I only seem to mind when my boyfriend is driving during rush hour as he drives fast, close and breaks hard. So often I am tense when with him on a good or bad day. Michelle ;p

Hi Kajikit Thank you I'm also the same way as a passanger. When we travel home to visit family and we are on the major highway I always sit in the back seat. If traffic is heavy in town I'm a tense passanger, but driving myself bothers me more. Tomorrow morning I have to do it, so I have been saying all day I can do it, but my stomach always hurts the day before I have to drive. I just hope all goes well . Talk to you soon Diane :)

Congratulations! Feel proud of yourself for managing those drives... they will get easier with time. I was really really REALLY anxious about being a passenger in cars, and after I started going places it gradually got easier. I hardly ever get anxious in cars now unless there's a lot of traffic or very bad weather or something else that triggers me off...

Hi Michelle I hope your feeling better soon. I work 5 days aweek and so far I have driven everyday but one. My husband works shift work so on his days off,I drive, but he comes with me, then picks me up. Monday and Tuesday he works so I have to drive myself. I still feel sick to my stomach before I have to do it, but once I'm there I'm fine and coming home doesn't bother me. I just wish the whole stomach thing would stop. But I got through my first week. Winter is worrying me, but my husband told me not to worry about that yet. Easily said than done.(haha) I hope everything is going well with you and your driving. Let me know how things go when you go back to work. Thanks again Michelle for e-mailing me, It's been good for me to have you to talk to thanks. Will write you soon. Diane :)

Hi Dianne, Congrats!! You must have felt like a million dollars when you got home. Sory I took so long to get back. I just had oral surgry and have been a bit laid out. I too had to drive, to the Denturist on Friday. I think because I was in so much pain that I did not even think about panic attacks. That or the increase in meds from 75mg to 150mg has made a big difference. I go back to work on the 16th and that should prove to be interesting. Do you work 5 days a week and have to drive?

Hi Michelle I DID IT!!!!!! I was so nervous this morning. I had a panic attack when I reached a busy area I had to take to get to work, but I took my time did the speed limit and took a deep breath and talked myself down. I just kept repeating I can do this, calm down, I can do this and I did. Coming home was a breeze. I work from 8:30 to 2pm. So there is no traffic at 2pm. For the first time in 2weeks my stomach doesn't hurt. So how's it going with you Michelle? Thank you so much for your support and encouragement I know that help a lot, Thanks Will talk to you soon. Diane :)

Hi Michelle It's 10:48pm and I have been lying awake in bed since 9:30. Thank you so much for responding. Just telling you about it helps, and it's nice to talk to someone who understands what it's like. I'm really really happy I found this sight. It's great to know I'm not alone.I am the same way. I get scared when I'm driving somewhere, but I feel relaxed when coming home. I was told that it is because home is my save place. I really didn't realize how many people there were out there with the same exact fear. How have you been doing? Are you finding it easier as you do it? I will tell you how it goes tomorrow when I get home from work. Thanks for listening. Will talk to you soon. I better try and get some sleep, morning comes fast here. Diane :)

Hi Diane, I am glad to hear that you drove and drove well today. I know that sometimes it is just the thought of the act that is hard. I bet you will do very well. Good Luck, I will be thinking of you.

Hi Michelle Well I did it. I drove to work with my husband beside me and did good. Tomorrow I'm on my own and I still have that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I can't understand how I can do it, and still feel the way I do. I hate the feeling I get when I know I have to do it again. I don't know what I'm going to do when winter hits. I was nervous this morning driving and nervous starting a new job, but it all went Okay. I'm nervous about tomorrow, but I can't say why. Will this feeling ever go away? I'm so tired of felling sick. Thanks so much for replying to my post.
