Well, I have come to believe...
I think that's step 2, and it's progress, not perfection.
I'm full of slogans today, but although the craves still do stop by, they are not nearly as overwhelming and they don't come as often, either. The other day I told my husband, hey, I've been awake for 2 hours and just now is the first time I thought of a smoke. Now that's DIFFERENT! Used to have smokes and lighter in hand before my eyes were open...
It is most assuredly worth the work to get to this point. I can only imagine how much better it will get. Good days and bad alike, smoking never ever helped the situation any. And I've been smoking for 40 some years, so I do know it never helped. Only fed the addiction.
And thank you to all who helped me get here. I know there will be bad days too, but today is great and that's what I have before me, today. So Happy Merry Fantabulous Holiday Day,
