Hey Rob, 11 smoke free months is fantastic. You're nearly at the one year mark. Good for you! And its good to see a lot of the seasoned quitters still posting. We really appreciate having you guys around.
Stay strong,
Cheers,
Jan

Well thanks Phillip and all you great quitters. Who woulda thought two old fart hippies would give up the smokes, huh?
I wish I knew the reasons that we go through these cycles in this quit....ups and downs....it makes no sense to still desire a smoke. I'm the kind of person who wants to know why....but I suspect this is one of those cases where there is no clear answer or delineation. It would be nice if at some point one wakes up and it's all but forgotten. I think we all want that. It probably has a lot to do with our individual psychology...and thankfully, we are all individuals....something that isn't encouraged in this world today where you are told to take a pill if you're not just so...
Oh well. Mom said "if it comes too easy, it's probably not worth it and you won't appreciate it" and that's a very, very old expression which I think bears at least some validity in this process. Some times, just the thought of it not being easy stops people from doing something.
Enough of that! Yes 11 months. One more and then time to renegotiate!

Hooray!
11 months for you my friend. This time is a challenge for me and celebrating is a kind of mind bending pleasure that sets me away from the endless spiral. So Congratulations.
I will use you to celebrate and do some kind of weird clapping cheering happy dance that this quit thing is a happening thing.
Congrats again from one old hippie to another.
Phillip :)
