You are the Best

I have heard it said "If you give it away, you get to keep it." You know it only takes a little time to reach out and help someone. Think about how you feel when it comes back at you two folds. Just like a warm fluffy blanket, it's the best. We learn so much from each other....the good days and the bad days...we share them all. Sometimes we even over share...but that can be another thread some day. Imallclear, I don't think there is such thing as abuse in this support community. We have to be able to share our victories and clap and celebrate...but the other side of the coin is when someone hit's bottom and feels helpless....SUPPORT means whatever you need that hour...that day....or that week. So I look forward to many more days and weeks of celebrations, tears, tantrums and milestones. The support we give each other is so very important no matter if it is a good day...or a bad day. I think today we have all learned something, but for each of us, the lesson may be a little different. Happy New Year Imallclear!!!! I'm really try'n and you're a big part of the reason. It sure has helped to think of someone watching over me. A little humility helped. You're a guardian angel to all the new quitters. Thanks stickn to it. I hope you pass a good night and have a pleasant tomorrow. Thanks for the compassion, but I think I will keep my meter at re-set. The threat of re-setting my meter publicly was one of the things preventing me from smoking earlier. I hated the thought of re-setting. I'm surprised at what a motivator it is to see the days w/o smoking accumulate. I will re-set it also because if I don't then to me why not just have another cigarette here or there? And for me to open that door would mean that I might as well purchase a carton of the sticks. I still feel that I'm in a good solid beginning of a solid quit. That one cigarette does not make me a smoker again (not that I'm a non-smoker yet now). But, it could just have easily turned into smoking again., if it weren't for me taking it as seriously as possible and relying on your support. So I'll stick with my re-set and the humility of which it reminds me and know that each day that it represents to me was earned justifiably. P.S. I definitely do not hold any of these prejudices for anyone else who has chosen to treat their meter differently and appreciate all the kind words of support. I am shamed by your support and feel that I have abused this site. Twice recently I have demanded support. I did need it. and I got it. This group thing is what is really gonna help me this time. I did re-set my bean counter right away, but I don't think I'm gonna have to deal with all the firsts again. I hope not. I've made changes already to strengthen my toolbox. The first step is to truly appreciate the most valuable tool already in place. You all. Thank you.
