Day Eight

17 years ago 0 61 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi all, Today is day eight. I usually cave after day 7 whenever I try so I'm happy to have made it this far. It has been an interesting week but I haven't even had a drag. Now for the hardest part the weekend. The weekend is usually my weakness. I also wanted to say thank you all for your support.

Hi all, Rough day, but focused mainly on joly rancher candies and gum today. My wife and I went to watch my brother and sister in laws basketball games (Big tournament). Kept me pretty busy. So end of day eight and I guess it's technically day 9 but I won't say that until I wake up.

Hi imallclear, Not understanding your question imallclear. I didn't cave on day 7. Besides that I'm not really sure what your asking me. If your asking me if its easier to do the things I like to do without craving a cigarette then yes; however, that is all thrown out the window on the weekend. Weekends are hard for me because there is no routine and I'm free to do whatever I like.

______________________________________________________________________ I usually cave after day 7 whenever I try so I'm happy to have made it this far. Text _______________________________________________________________________ Weekends can be really hard. I was talking about your opening statement quoted above. It sounded like you had quit before, at least once "usually" and I was wondering what was significant about day 7. And, I'm also happy that you have made it so far. I wanted to make sure that whatever haunted you at day 7 wouldn't follow you to day 8. But you know what? I can tell that your original post is on the 18th and your response to me is on the 19th, so you know what that means don't you? - that's right BABY - another day! - YEAH! for you. Now it's day 9 and half way to day 10. Congrats! Are you in a position to not do what you have done those other times when you caved on day 7? jojo, Congrats on making it through Hell Week!!! Have you posted to the "weekend promise?" If not, you might want to go check it out (it's either in the general forum or the stats forum... not sure which one this week). Posting to the weekend promise can help you maintain your determination to stay quit. Weekends are tough for most people, but just stick close to this site and you'll do fine. Post whenever you want to... it's usually a bit slower here on the weekends, but there's usually SOMEBODY around who can help. Congrats again on making it through Hell Week! Way to go! Crave the Quit!
