You done good there guy! 1001, in the 4 digit category. It can be hard and you are right, in the right place and in the right time. We pray that all young and seasoned alike have the strength of mind to continue and succeed with the journey. If we falter, we shall get back on our horse and do it again. Those that are here all want to quit and stay quit and we shall. Very good job indeed. Pen, I really enjoy your posts. Thank you. This is a wonderful thing we have done for ourselves, and yes, I too have been blessed with what-a-great-thing-we-are-doing-for-ourselves approach for my quit. I started it that way, and refused to give in! I really love being smoke-free!!! I would not change it for the world! Congratulations on your 1000+ days! You've done a wonderful job!! 4my2girls My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 345 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,363 Amount Saved: $1128.15 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 19 Mins: 3 Seconds: 18

Thank you one and all for acknowledgeing my 1000 days. As three years approaches, I have to tell you it has been fun. I have been positive and solid throughout and I have tried to maintain a cheery, happy and determined attitude. Perhaps I have been lucky, lucky that my circumstances and my life experiences during this time have made it possible for me to adopt this persona but then again perhaps I am being hard on myself with that comment. I know that quitting is difficult for some and for others it is almost impossible I know that - but I make no excuses for promoting the happy, what-a-great-thing-we-are-doing-for-ourselves approach. I am always mindful of the new people joining this site and I want them to know that quitting can be fun. That's why I have encouraged upbeat, positive threads throughout and defended the position of those who refuse to be affected by the negativity that can course through the threads. We acknowledge it but we will never embrace it it would not be good for us and it would not be good for those new quitters that we are reaching out to. I know that I have rattled a few with my comments but I make no apology for that. I am true and I am sincere; what you see (or read) is what you get!! I too have been rattled but seek no compensation, it's my life and I deal with what comes my way. Thanks again and here's to the next 1000 days which starts today. With Love, Pen x :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1001 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,024 Amount Saved: 5005 Life Gained: Days: 163 Hrs: 3 Mins: 50 Seconds: 41
