Breath in breath out deep breaths, pace and repeat to yourself I am becoming free I am becoming free I am becoming free. Jump in the shower, punch a few pillows, go into your garage and scream at the top of your lungs as loud as you can..(put the dryer on to drown out some noise)..Scream under water that way no one can hear you, I've done that a few times recently. Change your mind it will change your heart, you'll feel better and it will be soon, just do not smoke. Aloha Nalu... I know Phil - I feel 10 feet tall. Feel strong today. You are coming up to 2 months - fantastic. :) Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Parrot Read your message and smiled when you talked about a floating head. I'm on day 3 and I'm feeling spaced out but apparently it's due to carbon monoxide withdrawal - pretty nasty gas that you need to get rid of. 23 hours is great - well done. Keep going. You'll find these pages really helpful - I know I do. all the best Sharon ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 32 Amount Saved: 8.07 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 27 Seconds: 48

Hi Parrotlady, Good for you! Nicotine withdrawal never killed anyone, smoking has killed millions! I am a 30+year pack and a halfer. I am smoke free. YOu can do this. Have you done the program here at SCC? If not, I highly recommend it. It strenghtens your conviction to over come this horrilbe addiction. Be good to yourself the next few weeks; take hot baths, lie on the sofa and watch movies, go for long walks in the nice fall weather. Stay peaceful and smoke free. YOu can do it. I also had parrotts and consider them one of the finest of animals to have. Let me tell you something though- As you can observe, parrotts have no way to close there nostrils. Hence, they mainline tobacco smoke and I have the most wonderful Blue-Front die and the vet determined it was that damned smoking. See, benefits everwhere. Good luck.
