Right here rooting for you. You know you can do this and you are. If you need to yell at the junkie do so. If you need to vent and wail come here I am all ears. Good for you for getting through day one and now have a nice sleep and you will do great on day two. Keep on making the choice, keep on choosing life! :) Phillip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 240 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,023 Amount Saved: $1920 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 6 Mins: 17 Seconds: 44

Hang tough Penguin it gets better sooner than you think. Just get through the first 3 days. After that its still a challenge but you will feel you have the control you need to make it further 1 day at a time. Remember you are doing this for yourself and no one else . Best of luck post hard and often . ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 44 Amount Saved: $19.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 16 Seconds: 17

Penquin. That Lady that told you to leave all money at home is still around and rooting for you. You hang on tight and don't forget to scream at that junkie within until it shuts up! You are worth quitting for. There is nothing like being free from the enslavement of smoking. Getting there is the hard part. One day at a time. Keep going. I still believe in you. I have had a bit of a spluttering start to this quit. Very much the same as the last time I quit. Laser therapy on Thursday, then bought a pack after work on Friday - had 3 threw them away. Bought a pack on Saturday, smoked a few more. Threw the pack away and made my commitment. This morning was a little rough with constant throughts and desires, but when I made the decision not to leave the house (for fear of buying) I really started to fell better. So here I am 4 hours short of 24 hours smoke free and I am feeling pretty good. Chewing on stir sticks, drinking lots of water and thinking the whole thing through - over and over, and over and over, and over... Five minutes at a time, I will do what I have to do to be quit. Except I will not be taking any cash or cards with me for the next few days. Some Lady taught me that last time. It's a choice! Pen, That was good advice that you got! Stick to what you know and keep it close. You have your coping mechanisms and this will help you through :) Do what it takes and take it one step at a time. Use those distraction techniques and keep busy :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
