Dreaming ....

I have been having a lot of smoking dreams the last few nights as well. Seems like they come in waves. Instead of a feeling of nostalgia, I wake up scared and guilty...even though I didn't do it :confuse: Hannaher-search your previous posts and re-read them. That might help you regain that committment.

I've had funky thoughts during my quit as well. But that is all they are ... funky thoughts. Don't dwell on them and don't let them mess with your head. Use positive affirmations. Remember why you quit and how gross smoking is. Just keep putting one non smoking foot in front of the other. Those funky thoughts will pass. Hannaher, Glad you're feeling better. Some believe that a change of seasons brings new challenges and triggers. That's a great relaxation routine! Keep us posted on your progress. Danielle ___________________________ The SSC Support Team

Stay focused, just keep swimming, full speed ahead. Just about everyone has a smoking dream after they quit. Pretty normal stuff, just keep doing the right things, if you need to reinforce your quit, get your list of reasons out. Hi hannaher - Remind yourself as often as possible how easy your Quit has been... and can continue to be! This is the time to stay focused and to protect your Quit. Don't let your guard down. Sounds like you are simply looking back and romanticizing the smoking... So stop... and pay close attention to where you are putting your attention... We have times in our Quits that we are vulnerable and we need to be acutely aware of those times... Is this one of those times? Ground yourself in your Quit, and stay focused, friend! The Boston Marathon...WOW. That is an incredible goal. I just want to run a half marathon, and I would be pretty impressed. I don't every really remember my dreams, however I know that the last two weeks that I haven't slept good at all, and sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night feeling really weird but I can't remember what I was thinking or dreaming about. I hear it is normal and our subconscious is a powerful thing...we just have to change the thoughts that we put in so we have more positive ideas and thoughts come out.
