TY Everyone. Hubby talked to a car rental place yesterday and the guy said he would be here to drop the car off SO I hope he is here by 830am. I have to be in Va Beach by 10 am as that is when my GI doc appt is. PLUS the insurance adjuster is supposed to call. The good thing is that they will pay half of the rental car. Then of course it is the time frame for when the car will be fixed. I am very apprehensive, nervous, and there is a sense of relief there somewhere. The relief feeling will come when they tell me when and how they will fix me. July is *way* too long to be in pain. I guess I could look at it this way. The money I saved from smoking, paid for 1 day of the car rental! ROTFLMBO!!! Right? Add another notch to my belt =) The adjuster said there was going to be a $500 deductiable w/ hitting a pothole is considered a collision BUT after speaking to my father who is a retired police detective, he stated if it happened on city roads, then the city will be responsible. Hubby is going to call our insurance agent and then go file a police report. I was so angry w/ teh adjuster over the matter. *insert mean face here* I could feel my face turn red, my blood pressure rise, etc. Usually I would reach for the smokes but this time there was NO URGE nor craving!! I reached for my perrier waster and walked away!! See?? I told ya this quit was different!! I am going w/ the flow instead of fighting it!! TY Lady!! I am so proud of me too!! I am relieved it can be fixed!! It's only a small price to pay considering it couldve been much worse!! I can honestly say I am so proud of myself for not wimping out!! I just cannot express the joy and excitement I have at the moment!! I cannot believe how well I used my coping skills!! I do not have throat cancer nor are there any signs of precancerous cells!!!! *HUGE* sigh of relief!! However, what the barium swallow said was a small sliding hiatal hernia has turned out to be a large one which they saw thru the scope test. Surgery is in the future but not sure when tho. All that pain behind my breast bone is the sliding hiatal hernia!! WHEW!!So my little reward was a Pepsi and a small bag of chips!! I needed that crunch factor!! Now, we are waiting for the insurance adjuster. I must say I am beaming with pride!! I am so proud of myself!! I even gave myself a physical pat of the back!! HAHAAHAH!!! Duckie, I am so happy to hear that you received good news from the Doc (not cancer). Sorry to hear about the hernia, but now that you know what it is and it can be fixed, I am sure a huge weight is lifted off of your shoulders! Duckie-Don't you just love Nalu's signature: No rain; no rainbows.... Sorry to hear about the car. That is really frustrating! Is there any close friends who would be willing to loan you a car or perhaps take you to your appt? I am leaving for church in a few, and I am going to pray about this and about a dozen or so other things... This has been a rough week for me as well (emotionally).
