Health Anxiety

Ann, your fear of illness is very common with anxiety. I still go through it from time to time. If the doctor tells me I'm okay then I keep telling myself that 'til I believe it. It helped me to research every symptom of anxiety/panic and what is going on in the body when it happens. It does get better.

I fear I have a heart condition or if I see a new disease or something I think I have that!!!!!!!!!!! It is horrible because you want them to find SOMETHING anything that can be cured!!!! But if you get on the right meds you can prevent anxiety or at least control it and not let it control you GOOD LUCK

Does anyone else suffer from health anxiety. It only started with me when I first started having panic attacks over 2 years ago. Now I constantly worry that there is something seriously wrong with me. I have had blood tests done, but nothing seems to convince me that it is anxiety/panic attacks. When I get a new symptom - I panic that it some life threatening condition ie cancer. If someone else suffers from this - please tell me how you cope with it. Thanks
