I'm angry rrr, my neighbour whom is a wonderful lady, quit smoking 4 years ago using the patch. So today I was gardening and she came out to say hello, asked me how I was doing, so I started explaining to her that the worse part for me is the depression part of the withdrawal and I went through it twice with the NRT, it lasts a couple of days and then I'm fine. This seemed to bother her, she said, when I used the patch it was easy, no withdrawal, no depression no crying and maybe you're just spoiled and need a good spanking. Well I'm certainly not a child anymore I'm a grandmother for g sake, I was caught off guard and I just smiled and continued gardening and she went in the house. Well I've been dwelling on this for the last 4 hours, so I decided to^post about it. Now I'm angry I didn't tell her to mind her own business. Now this should not affect me this way I know it rationally but I guess I'm not so rational right now. And my hubby keeps telling me to follow my prescription to the end with the patch and I'm thinking I'm going to go through this one more time oh heck this is the pits I tell you.. Don't want to scare anybody I'm just ranting right now and I feel like crying but it will pass I've been through it a couple of times I'm tough I'm a strong person so on and so forth . One thing I'm absolutely certain about is I will not smoke, I might throw a rock in my neighbour's window ........But I will not smoke, ouf I feel a little better already. Thanks Skidoo and Doodlebug all I'm thinking right now is this a side effect of the patch, I quit twice cold turkey and did'Nt have the crying fits of course I started smoking again. Now with the patch everytime I do down I cry and I'm depressed for a couple of days. I'm wondering it it's the patch. I was fine all day and all of sudden bang it hits. I can't sleep right now and I'm tired grrrr My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 74 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,124 Amount Saved: $296 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 21 Mins: 21 Seconds: 29

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............the good old days. I rather enjoyed your posts during this 'sensitive' stage---inconsiderate neighbors, mouthy relatives, skunks, dogs, the butcher, the baker, the candle-stick maker.....your misery gave me something other than my own to focus on for a brief time! ;p Somehow, I doubt you can blame it on 'sensitivity'---I have a sneaky suspicion that there is a lot of ironic comical travesty in your life. God, I love quirky people! :) Don't EVER change!LOL

In complete honesty, I wasn't positive what it meant after reading your last post....so I looked it up to. You can still be quirky AND sweet......innocently unconventional! Marie: For awhile my Dr. had me on predisone, which causes weight gain, Whether you are on it or not, you can always blame a steroid for the weight gain!!! ;) Why take the responsibilty upon yourself when you can blame something else!!!??? I've not only become "plump" I am out-right FAT at 5'1 and 140 lbs! Did I say that out loud? I meant a mere 99 lbs!!!!! :confuse: LOL

My unprofessional opinion is that your neighbor is a sexual deviant! Did she offer to administer the spanking herself? Perhaps she just wanted to watch? Keep the blinds closed and watch your backside when you're bent over while gardening from now on out! :gasp:
