N2K thanks (I think) still have a headache from the smell been washing the floors with vinegar and water and the dog is sleeping LOl, lucky him. I'm gonna take 2 advil and go to bed, there's nothing more I can do tonight. My house stinks but not from cigarette smoke. I never thought of smoking while this was going on smells too much and with my new nose it's amplified x20. My poor dog got sprayed by a skunk, I'm telling you if somebody lit up a smoke in here the house would explode. I have a splitting headache. We washed him with a recipe found on internet. Peroxide baking soda vanilla, left it on for 15 min then gave him a shampoo. It worked quite well for him but the smell in the house is unbearable. I left all the windows opened and I can't go to bed I won't be a ble to sleep. Just had to share :8o:Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,095 Amount Saved: $292 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 15 Mins: 7 Seconds: 43

Poor Marie! What awful stinkin' luck! I am glad the stress wasn't a temptation---when it comes to stink or swim---you're a swimmer! OOPS...I meant sink! :) Did you check your dog real well to make sure he wasn't bitten? In my neck of the woods there have been numerous rabid skunks reported this summer. Lunchtime---gotta go eat my peanut butter and smelly sandwhich! :p Your post, while tragic, I am sure, made me smile. I thought MY life stinks, but at present, yours wins the prize!

Jeez, Marie, you have exotic animals in your neighbourhood, I've only ever seen a skunk on the TV!! Your poor dog and your poor head but that was so funny! Hope you at least had a good game of golf. Watch out for those black and white critters.... Hey Marie!!! Have to tell you that last night I met you in a dream! Very real, and very strange. I was outside of a house. Everything was white. I heard someone calling to me. I walked to the edge of a cliff. The ocean was below and the waves were lapping at the shore. The sun was blinding me and it was hard to see the figure below. I called out and said '"it's me, skidoo 1967", and you said - '"Hi Janet, its Marie"! That was it. I never saw you, but you were there. I turned around and started walking up the beach. Suddenly I was in front of an ocean wave and inside the wave were 7 Beluga Whales. I remember in my dream counting and recounting them. So there you have it. THe total sum of my dream. I figured since you were in it, I needed to share it with you. I just hope you read this post. I wanted to do a shout out to you - but alas that is against the rules!!! LOL Take care, Janet My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 80 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 972 Amount Saved: $440 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 3 Mins: 16 Seconds: 56

Hey Marie! Have to laugh because as I was reading your post I kept having images of an episode of The Partridge Family where they all got sprayed by a skunk and had to bath in tomato juice - Talk about a flash back!!!!!! LOL I think I must be dating myself here - that was a LONG time ago. Hope your house smells better! Dang Marie that just stinks! *sorry~lol* You must admit that is kinda funny. Sounds like a comedy sitcom. Believe it or not, I actually had a pet skunk when I was a child. The mother of 3 baby skunks was killed on the road and my dad and two friends all brought one home. We had 'Peppy' *grin* descented at the vet. (I don't think they still do that 'legally' these days). Anyway, I raised him and he acted a lot like a cat. I remember he loved corn on the cob and would lay on my chest and sway his tail if I hummed a song. So the moral of the story is: Smoking stinks more than skunks!! :confuse:  Way2go for handling a 'stressor' ~ Reward time :) (perhaps a scented candle? ;) ) All the best~ 2 My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 370 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,140 Amount Saved: $1850 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 2 Mins: 51 Seconds: 57
