Hi all junebugs, its a valid point look and choose what you read, what will help you. I know when i first joined i could'nt really post because i was'nt strong enough to encourage, and support, but also thats how it works many long termers came to my rescue when i was having a hard time, and really helped me through it..now i feel stronger, try to support, and often flush my pity pot, and have a attitude adjustment if i feel down, reinforce the positive, rechoice in my quit, and be thankful for all the wonderful people here, all the best jeanigirl My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 727 Amount Saved: $261.25 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 22 Mins: 16 Seconds: 56

congradulations on your 50 days marie!!! niks, I will be at 50 days at the weekend. I hope it doesn't get worse then. I am feeling stronger now, not exactly sure why except I seem to be getting myself focused and back on track. It's such a struggle, you can't ever let up and let your guard down. But, you are right, it is a want and not exactly a crave. It's a lot easier to handle then those first few days were! they say that you will have a day that you relise that you havn't thought about smoking all day long. Has anyone had that yet, I haven't. I still wake up every morning still "wishing" I could smoke with my morning coffee. I can't wait untill that day comes when I don't even think about it. Well, we have lost some june-bugs along the way but there are a few of us left, and we are getting alot stronger!! Keep up the good work everybody! Hey Guys, Those thread bother me a lot and I don't even open them if I can tell from the title that that is what it is. Those things can really get the nicodemon talking to me. I had a slip on the 16th of june, and that just makes everything sooooo much harder, because then you have given in before so the demon thinks if he screams louder, you'll do it again. Then when I read those, I start to think "I could just start all over again." But then I realize that I sure don't want to go through all this again. But rather then go through all of that, I just let someone else reply to them and I leave them alone. There are plenty of people here to help so let them do it. I'm not going to put my quit in danger. Thank you niks! Today, I get to begin moving in to my new office, and I just realized that no one I work with and for now knows that I ever smoked! That is really wierd! i don't even know how I feel about that! In a way, it's like a fresh start. On the other hand, I was getting encouragement from people at work and I miss them a lot. We all said we were going to keep in touch but you know how that goes. Anyways, yes BonBon, there does seem to be some kind of hurdle at around 45 to 50 days at least for the june-bugs. Just keep N.O.P.E. in mind as well as that "this too shall pass" I am not having near the "wants" that I was having early this week thank goodness. Good morning june-bugs, How are we today? I am doing better in spite of a lot of stress and things are not going very smoothly on this new job. I hope it will all iron out before the end of next week. I also had to do a lot of driving yesterday and I got lost a bunch of times because my new office is in an area that I am very unfamiliar with. I used to have a very hard time driving without smoking but it didn't even bother me when I was lost and stuck in traffic at the same time! The only really hard time I still have left is in the morning when I get up. I hate getting up craving a cig but I havn't licked that one yet. I don't know how long it will take before my mind is used to waking up without smoking. I don't feel in danger of smoking then though. It is a want not a crave I guess. I just hate that. I am so glad to be taking this journey with you june-bugs. We are really doing well. Danielle and Marie, Well this is kind of funny but I tryed to change my morning routine but I have found that when I first wake up, I am soooo drowsey and nearly unconcious that I can't think well enough to do something different! I was trying to do a excersize vidio and fell right on my butt! it's downright dangerous for me to even be walking! So what I do is sit and stare for about 10 min., then my brain seems to come back to me! It's during that 10 min. that I want to smoke still. When I was smoking, I probly smoked a half a pack in the first 30 or 45 min in the morning. Then I smoked half a pack at lunch. I would smoke two cig durring breaks instead of one, then go home and smoke 2 packs in the evening! That is how I fit in 3 packs a day with working full time in a non smoking building. Isn't that discusting? Anyways, I am feeling really pretty good. i noticed that I am thinking about smoking less and less, but I am eating more and more so I am going to have to start writing down my food and counting weight watchers points again, but that's ok. the new office that I have has a really beatifull walking trail in the complex so that will help. We will miss you bonbon but check in with us june-bugs when you get back and have a good vacation! Hi june bugs, thank you sooo much for reminding me that I have 50 days tomorrow!! It would have just passed me by! I am sooo proud of myself and yes this is the longest I have ever ever gone without a cigarette! I am really starting to feel like a non smoker now! I think when I get my nails done next time i will get a pedacure too. Well, here is a new thing to deal with without smoking. The football season will be starting, tonight was the first preseason game. I love watching football (weird for a woman hu). My dad was a sports reporter for the San Diego Union. I am used to smoking cig after cig while watching football. Tonight was not too bad because neither of these teams are my favorite, but boy I can see that this is going to get interesting. Now I see why they say you have to be quit through all the seasons (do they mean baseball season, football season, basketball season? Haha Well, I love my june-bugs and I am soooo proud of us!!! We are doing soooo well!! Isn't it great! Tomorrow night on "World news tonight" they are going to talk about the possiblity of banning all smoking in public. I'm glad I have already quit and don't have to worry about that. Hi all, I'm here and smoke free. I am having to work very very hard and long right now so I'm not around much and when I am around, I'm very tired. I just want to let you know that by the Grace of God, I have not really wanted a cig through this whole thing and really havn't seriously considered it! Isn't that amazing? For those who don't know, I smoked for 35 years, 2 to 3 packs a day! When your ready, your ready. Anyways, wanted to let you know I'm ok, and STILL SMOKE FREE!!!
