    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Ok, I am sitting here, going over my quit mentally and actually carrying on a mental dialogue with myself. I have found since I quit, I no longer bite my nails. I used to be a nail biter but as I look at my hands, I see how pretty my nails look. I decided to get into an exercisize program to channel my newly found freedom and strengthen my lungs plus my overall health. I do still have a slight, dry cough. And I am in bed by 11pm every night and up between 630am - 7am. Tomorrow will be exactly 3 weeks for me--many of you know each time I hit that 3 week mark, I fell off and bumped my head. I must say I feel like I have matured and I am not feeling like I did the last 2 times I tried. I am not in that panic mode, or in the desperation mode as I was the last 2 times. I am so calm, relaxed, and doing everything 1 step at a time. I am also happy to report I have been NRT free for 3 days now =) I feel as tho I found the inner peace that I had heard so much about. Is this it? Have I found it? Duckie... So glad to see you back around on the boards. Three weeks is awesome and you know what to expect so stand firm and don't give in to the temptation of the junkie thinking. Depressed or not, smoking is not an option. Stay calm, take deep breaths and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Refuse to give up. I have often screamed "I will not give up". Whatever it takes, just don't smoke. You are doing it this time. Be proud and don't forget to reward yourself! Great Job!
