It isn't the poor that was being refered to in 'those people'. It is people that were cussing up a storm in the benefits office, caring less that there were children or other adults around that were offended by their language and lack of manners. I appreciate all of the responses. My Mother-In-Law and my Mom are sending some money to help with food. I'm still not doing all that great but am thankful for the roof over our heads and the help we have received from family. Hopefully a job will turn up soon. The company that hubby is working for just got sold. I hope nothing bad happens like with the last company. They are promising the sky. I hate to be cynical ... but I'll believe it when I see it. Hubby is going to start the other job on Monday. And we are very thankful that he has that to go to. As far as the other job, we found out that the person that was suppose to call more than likely went out of town this weekend. So we'll probably hear something on Monday or Tuesday now. And if he does not get hired...
Suggest that your hubby contact the company that *didn't* offer him the job that he would have preferred, and talk to them about why they didn't hire him. Sounds a little daft -- but if you do it in the right way (telling them that you are sincere and enthusiastic about getting into that field and would like to know how you can build your skills/expertise to be a stronger candidate), most are flattered and willing to be helpful.
... this is wonderful advice! Thank you so much. I'm trying girl, I'm trying! Thanks all for reading, posting and supporting. This quit business can really be a pain in the arse. Dealing with stress without a smoke is so totally different. BUT we are doing it and that is what counts, right?! I don't think we are very graceful at our coping skills yet LOL ;p ... but hopefully we will be one day soon ... with continued practice. Good Morning Guys, Here I am with my cup of coffee. I'm going to get busy today. I can't sit around here today. My husband had two job interviews yesterday. (the man doesn't mess around) We should know by Friday or Monday if he has them. He would really like the first job he interviewed with. It would be a foot in the door for an industry he is trying to get into and then when he finishes his second degree, he should be able to slid right in to a top position. It pays very well too. I'll be able to finish my schooling when the boys go back to school if he gets this job. So keep those prayers coming. Hey guys! Just checking in real quick. I just got back from getting the kids immunized for school. I went to a free clinic as I am really trying to save all of our resources (just in case no job turns up soon). It is not easy trying to not let my hubby see that I am stressed out. He does see it, no matter if I try to hide it or not, because it is coming out in physical symptoms instead of coming out mentally. It is irritating because mentally I feel like I am handling it well. But I guess my subconscious is really playing havoc me. Grrrrrrrrrr! No, I think you misunderstand. He got the job in his 'safezone'. We WANT the challenging job that will help him grow. We find out Friday. Please pray for us.
