Sticking To it, This is one of the best and most positive posts I've read here for a while! This is exactly how I feel - and I'm sure a lot of New quitters out there will be pleased to hear your experiences. Yes, in my opinion, it just gets better and better. Thanks for posting this - simple and direct and a great message for the Newbies take care Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 205 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,170 Amount Saved: 1537.5 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 6 Mins: 55 Seconds: 34

For my quit journey it has been pretty easy. Learning to deal with my stress is my only struggle. I truly believe that when your mind is the state you can conquer anything. My quit was all mind over matter. As long as I believed I could do it the withdraw symptoms were nothing I couldn't handle. Rachel - YOU DO HAVE INCREDIBLE STATS - WOWIE KAZOWIE! Pen - ROCK ON DUDE! GonnaDoIt - 5 days is wonderful! fight hard! I came up with the nickname for Rob47 "Runs with Scissors" for him since he has a WILD sense of humour and on occasion has stirred up a little trouble ;) Love that! I think this is a great post. It is fortunate that this site has people blessed with quits that are so calm because they will be able to use their energy to help those who struggle with this terrible addiction. It will be frustrating at times to see people here angishing over their quits, when yours' have been so mild; yet, I'm sure you will be able to comfort them, even if they struggle for years. Keep up the great work! And thanks for your help! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 205 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,218 Amount Saved: $1845 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 18 Mins: 9 Seconds: 22

Thank You! yes, I still struggle and it is frustrating for me. It gets downright depressing sometime. I have to pull back and say to myself that 6 months is nothing compared to the 30 years I screwed with my system....and give myself a break. I need to be more patient. I am sure you will be patient and never call me a wimp, a whiner or say I'm too dramatic or full of angst or anything like that, because that would be contrary to support. You don't know how much I appreciate that there are people here who have energy to help people like myself who aren't doing so well. It's what keeps this place going. Thanks again! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 205 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,218 Amount Saved: $1845 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 18 Mins: 13 Seconds: 17

Right on, Healer; and I think it's great that those, like yourself, who are blessed with kinder and peaceful quits will be able to help those whose quits are so difficult. I think you are setting a wonderful example for the "newbies" who will have quits that are so mellow so that they too can use their energy and skills to help others who might experience it another way. It's really a blessing to see such perfect symmetry. Thank You for all your support and kindness here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 206 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,255 Amount Saved: $1854 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 21 Mins: 49 Seconds: 14

Oops, almost forgot to thank you, Penitent, for all the compassionate support you have been able to offer. It's really meant a lot to me and especially to others on this board. I can see why you chose this particular user name! Keep this post bumping; it's a great and positive inspiration to us all! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 206 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,255 Amount Saved: $1854 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 21 Mins: 50 Seconds: 51
