I've heard lots of negative things about wearing the patch at night, like nightmares and such. Just wondering how many patchers wear them during the night and if they really cause bad dreams.
Cheers!
I wear the 21mg ones 24 hours a day. I do seem to dream more but the only difference is that I can now remember them more. No nightmares for me. I was a heavy morning smoker so I thought it would be best to keep the patch on.
What have you been doing so far? I would first try leaving it on one night and then seeing how you react. There is nothing like trying something once, then you can decide.

Hi Scara - I did almost all of my smoking before bed and none in the morning....so I put it on after lunch and wear it all night. It's true, dreams have been more vivid...but sleep has been fine.
I had heard horror stories about wearing the patch at night so I was a little scared...but so far, no problems for me.
I guess you will just have to see how it works for you. We are all so different...Good luck!
Windy

Scara, I don't have bad dreams, but like others, I do have very vivid dreams. I guess its all up to you as to whether you wear the patch at night. I prefer not to take it off. Right now, I kind of look forward to these dreams. I really don't need a good movie right now, when I have my dreams. If I did get nightmares though, I might consider removing it at night. Keep strong and keep posting. Cheers, Jan

I had the same experience as Marie, if I took it off at night I'd be craving badly in the morning, and I found once I went down to the 14mg patch the dreams actually stopped.

Hi Scara, I had dreams also, so after a while, I took it off at night, but as I was a morning smoker, it became harder in the morning, so I went back to wearing it at night, after a while the dreams diminished. :)Marie

Scara: I always wear the patch throughout the night. My dreams are vivid (no nighmares, though) and I can remember them in the morning (something that never happened before). I like the dreams...my REAL life is dull in comparison! Better than prime-time TV!

I couldn't sleep well at all with the patch. Dreams were tooo weird. Not nightmares, but way too intense to call a relaxing night of sleep!
