Niks,
I feel much better on the patches! My doctor gave me the presciption for Wellbutrin and I started it this morning. They should be in full effect by the time I have to step down on the patches. I do think that I am going to make it this time!
My daughter still has some cigs left and I accidentally walked in on her smoking last night! She only smokes a little of each one because they are too harsh and menthol for her. Then she leaves the rest in an ashtray either in her room or outside on our patio. I've yelled at her time and time again about it but she just won't listen. She says that she is going to quit when she is out but it may take a real long time. She bought this carton on June 1st and she still has 3 packs left.
Anyways, when I am on the patch, those unsmoked cigs don't scream my name anymore but they do still wisper. I have to ignore them from afar.
I am feeling much better although my sence of pride is not as good knowing that I am still using nicotine in my body. I wish I could go cold turkey but I just don't think I am cut out for that. Or like the doc said, there are alot of chemical changes happening to me all at once. (perimenopause, losing a lot of weight and quiting smoking all at the same time).
Anyways, thank you so much for asking niks, that makes me feel so special that you remembered!
Love,
Mama
