Made it through heck week

Well done mama! That is so good to hear, and glad to hear that things are a bit easier for you. Its good that you got straight back on with your quit rather than continue to smoke. I am proud of you for that! Today i have made it though both hell and heck week for the second time. I have learned a lot of things, but one thing I definatley learned is I do not want to do this again! So I need to keep this quit with all I've got. It's funny because I am craving pretty bad this morning for some reason. Maybe I have something phycological about the two week mark that is making it tough for me. I don't know why that is but this time, I don't have any cigs in the house now (btw, my daughter has one week now.) so it would not be quite so easy to slip. I think I will make it! I started out june 1 cold turkey, went two weeks and then slipped, smoked, and then right away, restarted my quit meter, slapped on a patch and got Wellbutrin from my doctor. You can do a search on my posts and read it, it was quite a journey. Now I am on patches and wellbutrin and my daughter has quit also so it is a little easier. How about you? Proud of you Mama! Congrats on a job well done!! Did you go cold turkey or are you on another form of quitting? I did hypnosis & the patch. Back in March it was the patch. Fell off at 3 weeks. Then after 2 days, I jumped back on the wagon for another 3 weeks w/ hypnosis but fell off at 3 weeks again. So this time it is w/ the patch and hypnosis combined PLUS a promise I made to someone very special in my life. I logged back onto the site for the 1st time in 2 mons, saw what might have been, cried for a few mins, dusted my butt off, and cleaned up the 'spilt' milk. I tried the Wellbutrin but I saw those strobe lights going off in my head and it freaked me out. YIKES!! Doc said I cannot take that combo. I did that back in April, my 2nd attempt. Mama, 14 days is awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
