That looks easy enough. I workout over my lunch. For one it gives me a break from work, because I don't leave my desk anymore now that I don't smoke. And two, my husband and kids consume my time in the evening.
I do one hour of a body sculpting and step class two days a week and a full cardio step class two days a week.
Niks it is 11:16 am in the USA-CST. You are up very late aren't you?
Navigator.
Niks,
I thought I read on your previous post that you worked out. Are you still working out and gaining weight? I figured quitting was hard enough without worring about my weight too. I read that your body burns about 200 extra calories a day when smoking. So I just made sure my workouts burned at least those 200 calories. I haven't had any weight gain yet - knock on wood!!!!

Niks,
It is better to gain weight than smoke. Besides you can always take off the weight later.
I had borderline high blood pressure for years. My doctor was on me to take meds, I kept saying I'll quit smoking and it will go down. Well 5 days after I quit my blood pressure went down to low. This was before I started going to gym. So all the extra salt I was getting consuming handfuls of pretzels and sunflower seed had no impact.
We don't have to be a smoker and we don't have to be overweight but given the choice I rather be overweight than a smoker.

Okay, for some reason I was thinking the UK was 6 hours behind our time, but you are 6 ahead. Got it, now I know what time to find you on.

Hey Niks,
I am finding in this past week that I have really picked up on eating a lot more. My pants are getting tighter. But I have to agree with navigator...we need to get through this and not worry about the weight right now. We had a client drop off a box of Godiva chocolates and I am in hogs heaven right now with my head in the box!!! I have been on edge for the past couple of days (stress at work and home) and the thought of a cigarette is on my mind a lot more...I believe that is why I keep eating and nibbling. Other people say nibble on carrot and celery sticks but that just doesn't cut it. I want sweet things...CHOCOLATE really makes me feel better. Amen to Navigtor...worry about the weight later.
Stay strong my friends!
Darcy

I just ate mini raisin weetabix (I dont know if you get them over there) with milk and sliced strawberries......
mmmm that was SO NICE!! I dont think it was that fattening either. Its Sat.. I have a hangover and I am NOT ordering Pizza!
I laughed at the hog heaven comment Darcy.. haha.. I have put on weight and I am going to N Cyprus in around 6 weeks, so i will have to wear a bikini.
I think even my legs are getting fat, i didnt know that was possible (to have fat legs) as I am a woman, have never had fat legs, and all men I have met have had athletic legs.. therefore never in my life have I ever felt fat legs, until now.

Navigator I have been pretty bad. All day today (I am off work today and tomorrow) I swore i would go to the gym, go swimming go out on my bike.
Mine is eating stuff Navigator, but its having it in the house.
Yesterday i went to the shop and bought a box of jaffa cakes, it had a packet (12 jaffa cakes each) of each flavour orange lime and rasberry. I already ate the rasberry and lime today (thats 24 aragggh)... 1g fat each. so so bad. I also went to a summer ball on friday which was a free bar all night and drank till god knows what time in the morning........ then ordered pizza the next day.
Last night, I bought some chocolate mouses, and ate all 6 of them... and I ate chips from the chip shop which i never do. (chips from the chip shop). I used to be able to get away with it.
Ok, I am going to go to the gym get my lardarse down there. burn off a lot of calories.. I have to do it, I am going on holiday in 6 weeks. So its full on mission. All my own fault I know, I need to get back into my excercise routine.

I am confused. Now that I have quit smoking do I need to eat LESS? because my metobolic rate slows down?
I am confused because previously i didnt eat that much anyway. Not really. Some days I wouldnt eat anything at all.
So do I need to eat less than I did before?
