Yeah, I did go through this a week ago.. not this bad though. I am vry shocked that i'm going through it worse at 15 days into my quit than i did the first week. I feel right now like I did my very first day.. not the first day of my quit.. the day before that when i made some lame atempt to quit but didn't. I could go back to smoking like I had never left right now and never look back. That really suprises me. Anyhow, I am rambling and I wrote most of my feelings in my thread over in he withdrawals section - Thank you Princess for the supportive words. And Loving.. i'm sorry if I hijacked your thread. You are just going through the same thing I am, and I was in hysterics when i came here and wasn't thinking. Oh God.. I so know exactly what you are going through. I have a bad leg, and scholiosis from it... I am hurting so bad right now, and i'm going through the worste thing ever... My husband hid my car keys... i was gonna go get some cigarettes. I still have keys to the older car, but I came here first. I understand. Smoking does numb pain.. it dulls your nerve endings because they aren't getting the blood flow they would otherwise. Also the dopamine shot.. that helps numb the pain. I understand. I hope that you're not gonna do it and throw away everything you've done so far, because there's other ways you know. We could go on anti-depressants.. they help with the pain too. Just have to hold out a little while, OK? I know that most people don't know what it's like to live with chonic pain, but just so you know.. I understand. Plus the Chiropractor. I have medicare because of my deformed leg and when medicare started covering scripts, this company came and sold me their medicare supliment, which turned out to not be a suplement but a medicare take over. medicare used to cover me going to the Chirorpractor, and then the company took over and now I have a huge chirorpractor bill that I didn't even know that I was running up. This set me back by miles today.. that was the only releif I knew I had, and I couldn't go today. I went online and got rid of that suplement thing, but I still owe the chiropractor tons of money now. I feel devestated.. that was the only releif I still had. If you can go.. go.. it helps me anyhow. I was gonna take a hot bath, but I don't ahve a tub - only a shower. Was gonna go to my mom's for a bath, but my husband stuck me taking care of the baby, and I missed my bath so he could watch cartoons. I called m mom to tell her I couldn't come and she got madd at me and hung up on me, and it doesn't look like i'll be able to ask her to let me come over for that anymore. My shoulder feels like it is up by my ear, and I hurt so bad, and this si the worste that i've ever wanted to smoke since I quit. LOL @ the sex drive. They say that it doesn't decrese it... they really could use the elevated part in their ads more. My poor husband has not only been called every single name in the book, but people are telling him that he looks haggard, and he has hickies all over his body. That man is a saint, i'm telling ya. I'm sure glad that you're feeling better, and that you made it through this. Yes I do have pain meds... and i guess the cigs just helpped when i was smoking my whole body functioned around a cig... so that is what i used and i was use to grabbing at the time of any event in my life... when i was in pain i smoked.. no matter what .. when i had pnemonia i smoked.. begin an addict for so long an so many years.. someone out there i'm sure can and have related to such circumstances..but again .. this too shall pass i will overcome... My body must overcome... P.Loving "How can you move into the future if you are still living in the past" Leave the cigarettes alone... move into the future... and move on ..without them. Hi Rusty, NO it is not an undiagnosed pain .. I have had it x-rayed which is my back and i saw x-ray along with the doc my back spin is normal just a very minor fix need to be done but the c1-c7 is not good at all but i don't know if that has something to do with the lower back pain ... i go back tomorrow and like you i too would smoke before and during taking meds for pain .. so i guess my body is just reacting .. to what it was use to which it can no longer have...
