G'day....:)
As you might remember my partner originally quit with me then started again. Yesterday she asked me about how I was coping with her still smoking. I just told her straight......you smell and I find it quite repulsive. I told her it was an extra challenge that I really didn't need on this journey. But I backed that up by saying that her smoking made absolutely NO difference to my resolve, if anything it strengthened and re-inforced it further.
So guess what?.........Yep she started over. Went and had a shower, washed her clothes, put on a patch and is giving it another go. She had already gone and bought the patches and was planning to do it and the conversation we had seemed to just give her that extra incentive....not to put it off any longer.
We are now able to talk about it.....fantastic. It is so good to have her on this journey with me. I will do everything in my power to support and help her. I am keeping the two quits clearly seperated in my mind. I am much more prepared this time to have a companion on this journey....so close to home. Must say she is smelling like roses now.......:)
