With a few active new quitters here at the moment, a bump of this thread may prove beneficial to them.

I wanted to bump this up for some of the newer nonsmokers who are coming to the end of the hard physical withdrawals, in case you're wondering why you keep thinking about smoking. Page back to page 9 to MissyFit's original post. It's explains it so well.

I'd really like to hear what other people have figured out to be their strongest associations and how it's going with them. Once again, tax season is here, and I was aware of the possibility of wanting to smoke as i sorted through all those receipts. I can't say it happened, just I was uncharacteristically thinking about it. Uncharacteristically for these days anyway. But here's the deal. This is only the fourth time I've done that since being a nonsmoker. It's a wonder I ever made it through the first year..lol. Hmmm..maybe I'd already done them before I quit? That would make it only three times. But, three successful times of making new associations. New association with sorting tax stuff you ask? A weekend reward trip to see a couple of my kids. So nice.
