I don't believe this......

I talked to my wife about my dreams last night. She said yes she knows, I shout and say things. We agreed I'd try to sleep without the patch tonight for her sake, it hasn't been bothering me. I got up this morning, showered, drove the kids to the bus, I'm at work, it's 9:36 a.m. - I DON'T HAVE A PATCH ON! Big letters not out of panic, it's just that I reached for it out of habit, it's not there, and here's the best part... I'VE BEEN OKAY ALL MORNING! I didn't notice. You have got to be kidding me. Me without nicotine in any form since last night about 9 pm? Get out! I have patches here and I think I will put one on. The fact that I noticed means there's a crave starting way deep down, in a few hours I could be in trouble, so let's not go there. Stick with the program like my doc said. I just can't believe it took me that long to realize I was not patched up. That's a really really good sign that my step down is going to be okay. Have a great day all. See you at the beach.... butterfly - Yes I agree. My doctor and I have a well planned process in place and to not patch up right now would be noncompliance with that plan. Noncompliance is what shot me down on other attempts. Not this time. I don't consider it a weakness to rely on the NRT's. I consider it using every weapon I have available to kill the nicodemon in me. Onward and upward! (oh my god - i think i just quoted buzz light year...)

cybrduke, I did the same thing. It is a good feeling :) It's also good to stick with the program and put one on. I remember seeing posts where some think it's ok to stop the patch early. To each their own. Personally I'm glad I did the patch all the way through. However I took it off some nights to help with the dreams. No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on... Cherie
