A question about very slow hours....

Hang in there, Struggling. This is only temporary. The Life Gained calculation is probably not a straight-line function (few things in the real world are), but a rough estimate shows you're gaining 2 hours, 11 minutes a day, so that works out to about 11 days to gain one day. I did notice that the seconds are incrementing between each of your posts, so you are making progress. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 319 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,393 Amount Saved: $1212.2 Life Gained: Days: 59 Hrs: 14 Mins: 24 Seconds: 21

I don't remember when it said I gained a day, but look at my meter now! I've gained 4 days and I'm 31 days into the quit. I'm not really concerned with days gained on the meter - I'm more concerned with the quality of TODAY! Not smoking is making me feel better NOW! That's a lot more important to me than whatever the meter says. I can take a really deep breath without ending it in a cough. I can run up a flight of stairs without being winded. Those are the real rewards to me. If you show 10 hours gained at this point, looks like another 5 days and you'll have added a full day? I'm pretty sure it's different based on the level of smoking you did. I was pretty hard core. Just stay with it - you know you can. We're here if you need us. Just promise you'll post and wait for replies before you do anything crazy! GOOD JOB - STAY WITH IT!
