lol~yes I was afraid you might do that. Oh well, it doesn't matter what kind of exercise as long as you are getting some. (it does a body good...2get some... or something like that ;)) Redrosie get this: My husband's grandfather smoked for 20 yrs and then quit cold turkey. He remained very active. Lifted weights/ate healthy foods, etc. Then recently at age 84 he was hit broad side in a traffic accident. (considering the rep of elderly drivers I should note that the highway patrol cited the other driver for running a stop sign.) Anyway, among other injuries he suffered severe blunt force trauma to the head. They said he would not have lived if not for his seat belt and good heath. He is back at home now and doing great at 84!?. Isn't that amazing that he smoked for 20 yrs and was still able to recover from this accident and also be so 'clear minded' and 'healthy' in his 80's?! I know you'll find the story as inspiring as I do and I'm sure Phillip won't mind me using his thread space. Thanks for asking. See you 2morrow :)

Hi, Phillip. You realize that since you've quit Magic is better off, too. Not only was she breathing secondhand smoke, but she would also lick it off her fur when grooming herself. {*gag*} I tell some people that I quit smoking for a dog. Part of the motivation for my quit was to be able to run an agility course and survive. When I quit, I'd just about drop after running 20 feet and it took several minutes to recover. Now I can run a full course (roughly 60 seconds), calling commands the whole way, recover in about a minute, and do it again. And I'm no where near the shape I should be in (a bit lax in that department). So following Rosie's and Kaiser's leads, I should call myself Delia. :) Dogs do have a way of insinuating their way into our lives, don't they?
