Lots of fruit juice for the first few days and read....read and read some more! The more you know before you start, the easier it is. Good luck Brent My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/8/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 334 Amount Saved: 235 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 23 Mins: 6 Seconds: 37

Hi Jessica What caused you to start again after stopping for 6 months!? You'll need to be extra careful of whatever caught you out last time!

First of all, hello and welcome! My suggestion to you is to tell you to stick very close to this site, read and post often! Any time you feel a withdrawal symptom or craving, come here and read/post BEFORE you do anything else! Then, when you've done that, you can scream, shout, kick the wall (not too hard), punch the pillows, whatever you can...use your coping tools that you've created from the program to the left of this...anything as long as you do not smoke! One day at a time. Remind yourself whenver you feel a craving come on..."THIS TOO SHALL PASS". They always do...quickly too. N.O.P.E. Jessica and NSA, Good luck to both of you. It is possible to do this and stay sane and even have fun. You just need to remember not to schedule anything that is important to be done during the first 2 weeks. That is your most fragile time and you really need to protect it from loss. Try not to plan parties, big projects, or heavy changes for that time period. Keep thinking ahead and you will do fine. Hi Jessica, look over to the left and you will see the quit program tools. Start working on those. They will help you make a plan. Good luck! My best advice is what Casey spoke about above. To include learning all you can. It is an on-going process. Also, many of us used NRT's and soon learned they were no silver bullets...just another coping tool in our bag of quitting. Now, I wish for you to quit today. Having quit before why do you need a future date...even a few away. General Patton once said that a good day today is better than a great day later. Quit now...show your determination. I offer, as do all others here, all the support we can muster.
