Unfortunately, BFS, I used to be one of those Stinky-Mac-Stinkers!! My fiance used to tell me all the time not to smoke before getting in his car (he quit 3 years ago), and I would get angry at him telling him he was overreacting, that I couldn't smell anything that gross...now I know better.
My name is Lucy, and I used to stink like a wet ashtray sitting on top of rotting garbage.
Today, however, I smell like shampoo, lotion and a little bit of
perfume!

I work in a ladies clothing store and people return stuff all the time reeking of smoke, we wish we could say no and not take it but we cant, so we take it and hang it in the back room for a few days and the smell does go away. I think I have the worlds most senstive nose now that I have quit. I even had a lady come to the counter one day that smelled so bad I gagged, I cant believe I smelled lie that!!

We didn't smell it cause we were oozing with it ourselves! You can smell a smoker even when he changes clothes, washes the hair and brushes the teeth. People who smoke just 'think' they don't smell.....I know cause I used to be one of them!
the worst place for me after quitting was my car.....mercy that thing stunk. I shampooed and fabriezed till I was blue in the face.....the grandkids finally 'swore' to me that the smell was gone. LOL To this day, the smell of a smoker's car about gags me.
