It's funny how you say that you get angry or grumpy in the morning. My husband and kids just told me yesterday that my mood has been so much better since I quit. Sounds great, but makes me wonder how surly I was before. LOL :)redrosie

Thanks Janet, I know all of that, but it is very helpful to have others tell it like it is. I am already starting to feel a little stronger. Isn't it crazy how these cravings can come out of nowhere(I think), and bite you in the patootie? Oh well, I guess that's why it's called an addiction and not a hobby. LOL. :)redrosie

I had a great weekend, but for some reason I am having a hard time of it right now. I have to go out later to vote in my national election, and I have almost talked myself into buying a pack of smokes. I will stay here, reading and hope it goes away.redrosie

After 22 days, buying a pack won't really do anything except get you upset at yourself. And why would you want to do that? You are your own worst critic. Buying those smokes will only make you feel like crap...DON'T DO IT!!! been there, done that, go the t-shirt.

Sometimes I wish I WERE addicted to anything else but nicotine! The anger I feel sometimes about not being able to smoke (because I don't want to, not because someone else is telling me not to) really gets me upset because I take it out on everyone around me. Gggrrrrr

I've found that each day, I start out about as grouchy as one can get but after about 2 hours or so, I start to mellow out and become human. I think the morning cigarettes are the ones I miss most because that is really the only time I find that I'm a major b--ch. The other time of the day, I'm just a little b--ch.
This weekend, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We got dressed up and went to The Tree restaurant. It's a really nice steak house here in town. We had the best time!!! My husband is at about day 15; so we've both been through the ringer these past few weeks. I'm surprised we're still living together!!
Each day has it's ups and downs and hopefully someday, the ups will outweigh the downs. For now though, it's a large teeter totter that I'm on.
