Brent, I love it when you pop in! I always look forward to your stories! And Shevie, you had me ROTF with your calculations... I'm a So Cal girl transplanted into Missouri... a state with winters. I about had to wash my mouth out with soup the day I said that 70 degrees was warm!!! Brent, as for all of the UK expressions... knackered, conservatory, bonnet... may I have an English to English Dictionary, please?!?!?!?! ;p I'm still trying to figure out if "rabbit" and "hamster" are actually animals or weird names for parts of a car! Anyway, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, but on the bright side, you put a smile on my face and brightened my day! Thanks for the laugh! I hope things start going better for you soon! Crave the Quit! Let's see ... 25C = 77F. Gee, that's sweater weather. The Valley of the Sun scale: Comfortable = 90F = 32C Warm = 100F = 38C Above this point, second degree burns from car seats & steering wheels are common. Hot = 110F = 43C Cook your goose = 120F = 49C The day it hit 122 here, the airport shut down. Seems the lift/weight tables the pilots used stopped at 120 and the pilots wouldn't assume beyond that (I don't blame them). I was job hunting that day and was stuck on the side of the road in a three-piece suit with a vapor locked truck and smoking away.
