Not bragging or anything (well I am actually) but I've done over 12 months now and want to spur you all on to being in my position - I hardly ever even think about smoking now - if I do it's only for a couple of seconds) and mostly I think how horrible cigarettes are. Please, please, please, all you new quitters ... just do whatever it takes and you will feel as good as I do. I know it's been a long hard road but it's all worth it to feel like
a) You're not a social outcast
b) You don't have to stand out in the cold and rain to have a
smoke
c) You have more money and don't have to remember to buy cigarettes,
whether or not you can afford them
d) You feel fitter (if not a bit fatter but the weight is coming off
now anyway.
However you are quitting and whatever it takes.... just keep doing it - it's all worth it, believe me
