I need support in the weight area too, and I'm not talking about a girdle. Trying to walk with the kids after dinner, but that seems to be all the excercise I can fit in right now. I'm off of work next week so hopefully I can get on the bikes. Hi, 130.4 for me which is down 3 pounds but last night was my big blow out (see my post under Mama needs help now) and I don't know how much of that I will gain back from eating way too much lowfat frozen yougurt. (I think I ate about 10 WW points worth at least). We will see how next weeks results are messed up by it. but hey, at least I didn't smoke. In weight Watchers they tell us that one to two pounds of weight loss a week is really healthy, but the other thing is, Zany is right, you can definatly lose a lot of water weight the first week. Looking back on my books from when I started in Jan. I lost 6 the first week, but of course most of it was water. For your weight, Zany, you should probly shoot for somewhere around 1600 to 1800 calories a day and try to only do less than 30% of that from fat.As long as you are eating at least that much to maintain your body functions, you should be healthy. Try to do 5 to 8 servings of fruits or vegitables a day, and at least 8 glasses of water. Skiddo1967, Look up "walk away the pounds" by leslie sansow (not sure about the spelling of her name. I love those excersize videos and they are not so hard you can't keep up. These are fun to do too. I didn't loose any weight. I didn't gain any either. I did really good on working out. In fact I worked out more than I planned to. But I didn't do good with my calories. I didn't do horrible with them. But I am finding it hard not to eat while I am quitting. And I am not eating a ton of food either. I am going to try to stick to my diet/calorie counting this week. grrrrrr! The concern of 'not gaining weight' is something that a lot of people think about when they QUIT SMOKING. The SSC Waist Watcher Members have realized how helpful it has been to make public announcements of our Quits & how supporting each other to reach those goals is such a powerful motivational tool. Our goal here is to apply those same techniques to maintaining or losing weight. One of the reasons many stop smoking is to be healthy. Eating right and exercising will not only help us to feel and look our best, it will help us in our QUIT. Exercise is such a great de-stresser and eating right nourishes the body that nicotine wanted to destroy. It is a great way to kick sand right in Nicodemon's face. So come on and join us! Every Thursdays we post our Weight Tracker and how we plan on getting toward or maintaining our goal. We support each other, share ideas and celebrate each other accomplishments. TODAY IS THURSDAY ... POST YOUR WEIGHT TRACKER & HOW YOU PLAN ON ACCOMPLISHING YOUR GOAL!!!! 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... GO SSC WAIST WATCHERS!!! Just post in the SSC Waist watcher thread for encouragement. 7-10 pounds is a lot to loose in a week. I think 2 to 4 pounds would be a more realistic weekly goal.
