I hear ya Penguin! I,too am having a bad time this morning. The devil is on 1 shoulder saying " Go ahead, no one will know." The angel that usually sits on the other shoulder is gone outside to have a ciggie.lol I know we have just met, but grab my hand,( no the other hand,) and we will get through this together. Do not leave here unless it is to get something to eat. That's what I have been doing all morn. Oh well, better than smoking!redrosie ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 539 Amount Saved: $182.6 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 4 Mins: 34 Seconds: 26

Everytime i get an urge, i try to think of the worst smoking thoughts i can like, the people that have a hole in their throats because of throat cancer and still smoke through the hole in their neck, YUK!! or the commercial that they squeeze the smokers aorta and all this yellow gunk comes out. that kinda makes me forget my craving. I know its gross but it works Keep up the quit, your doing great!!! Hang in there Penquin. You have come too far to turn back now. Stomp Nic out. Tell him to go away. You are in control. This is your life you are fighting for. Hang on just a little longer. I promise in just a few days the sun is going to shine again. It gets so much easier around the 2 month mark. Don't give up on yourself. You are doing an awesome job! Sounds like it may be time for a reward. Shopping always makes me feel better! We are here for you and we know you can do it! Penquin, Great job kicking nic back to the curb. You don't realize how close you are to freedom. After I beat nic when he came knocking on my door around the 60 day mark. that was the last "HARD" time I have had. Ofcourse there have been some thoughts, but nothing like the first few months. You can do this! the hard part is behind you. Hang on penquin. It doesn't last. Been there, done that, now I'm here to tell you. Just stick it out a bit longer. If you give in now you reintroduce nicotine into your system and reawaken all those little addict centers that have been asleep for a few weeks. Sure don't want that to happen, not after all this time. It gets over soon. Stick around, read, post. You can get through this. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 245 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,910 Amount Saved: $931 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 18 Mins: 29 Seconds: 14

OK. I'm standing on more solid ground and I brushed off the dust. I realized I'd been rolling around on the ground fighting with the Nicodemon and when I saw how beat up I was I got really, really mad. I deserve to feel good about myself!! I deserve to be free from smoking!!! This is my quit and I'm not going to let anyone but me control it!!!! I have gotten this far because I wanted to quit - I'm not just trying. I've reminded myself of my reasons and I'm making a choice! I CHOOSE FREEDOM!!! :) Thanks to everyone for their helping hands! You're the best. Had a bad day yesterday, and Nic has sneaked in the back door and is sitting on my shoulder, yelling in my ear. I didn't sleep well last night and woke up tired and anxious, knowing I was going to have a hard day. I know it is all Junkie thinking, and there is a constant conversation going on in my head that I having trouble ignoring!! I feel like I am barely hanging on by a thread! HELP!!
