Cigarettes Not Smoked

I saw the list/poem on saturday and printed 6 copies of it. One in my lounge next to my dads clock (he died from cancer of the oesaphagus). One in the bathroom, one in the kitchen, one stuck to the bedroom ceiling right above my side of the bed, one in the car taped to the dashboard, one in my favourite guitar's case (it goes everywhere with me).
I'm planning on taking it to the smoking cessation clinic i attend. I'm sure they'd find it a source of inspiration too.

Gary, whoever you are, thankyou.

Wow, I was looking for some serious support today and came across this list from 2008, from Rock.  It did what it needed to do for me and I am thinking that I am blest that I decided to quit and for all of those reasons on that list and more.  Thank you for having that one here, great stuff.

Bump for my never smoked friend Darrell I especially like what Tom said
because we know it's not easy but there are repercussions far more difficult.
I have a friend in the hospital dying from lung cancer and he did not smoke, but he attended years of those 12 step smoking meetings. He was never anti-smoking, never complained about being in a room full of smoke. He's a nice man and I will miss him when he's gone. Thank God we have quit polluting other people's air. It's one of my quit motivations. I am not posting this for sympathy, I am posting it for courage - for me and you, and for the Darrells in the world - to keep going, to keep quitting, to stay on this path, no matter what. Because there ARE consequences far outweighing the discomfort and stress of quitting.
