Thankful to Any Help I can get

It has been a while since I posted but I was always reading through all the posts on this site. I would say that it was really helpful to know that I am not alone and someone is there willing to listen. This support group helps me a lot to overcome my depression. I am feeling much better these days, (thanks so much to this support group).

Welcome Czarskee,

It has been awhile since you last posted. How are you feeling today? Have you been able to identify the thoughts that are making you anxious? Identifying anxious thoughts can be difficult - sometimes tracking your thoughts throughout the day can help with this. It may be a number of thoughts that are contributing to the anxious feelings.

Congrats on all you have learned already. The more you learn the more able you will be to manage the depression and anxiety.

You are in a good place to get yourself some help. Depression absolutely exists for so so many people. You wrote that your feelings of depression started two years ago. Did anything happen at that time in your life that may have contributed to your feelings? I hope that you find help here. There isn't a lot of activity on these forums, but there are a few of us who log in regularly to post and to support each other. Keep checking in, read through the lessons, and don't be afraid to start new conversations. Writing about what I'm feeling has been a big help to me. Hugs, Super Girl

Welcome czarskee... thank you for posting.  A lot of us here are bound by fear we don't understand.  Posting online is a very courageous step toward getting better.  The good news is that if you read through the program, do the homework, and continue to post your concerns here... you will begin to feel better.  We don't have to understand our fear in order to learn to manage it and ourselves better. Happily, understanding often does come after we learn to better manage our symptoms.  I hope you will return and continue to post... for your sake... and ours.  It helps so much to hear from other people who "get it" unlike many with whom we share everyday life.  Sorry you have had to become a believer through experience. ~m

Hi, I have been feeling depressed for the last 2 years now. Although I think I am getting better compared to the last 2 years but still not 100 percent from what I used to be. I was outgoing, carefree and actually do not believe in depression until it happened to me in the beginning of 2015. I've been reading posts and advice from this site in which I started to apply to myself. They do help in improving my situation but still feel this emptiness once in a while. There are still anxiety and fear every morning when I wake up or I should say that keeps me awake the whole night once in a while. The sad part is that I cannot identify what I am scared about and where does my fear comes from. I just feel that way.

Praying and believing in God is what keeps me going with my day to day life.
