Welcome pippi,

It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of tough stuff. Good for you for coming here and looking for resources to help you cope with all you are experiencing. The program will be able to help. It is based on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) principles. CBT is the gold standard treatment for depression as it has the most evidence base. Are you currently working on CBT with your therapist? If so, I encourage you to talk to her about the program. Have you had a chance to get started yet? Any questions so far?

Hi Pippi.  Welcome.

It sounds like a stressful situation, but a temporary one.  Can you distract yourself now and then or does your mind tend to repeat it over and over?

Hello,
I thought I would introduce myself. My name (on here) is Pippi. I have suffered from depression for more than 20 years and have had it almost entirely under control. However, I am going through a very difficult household situation causing my partner and I immense stress. My partner's ex-wife is attempting to alienate him from his young son. There is an upcoming custody trial 5 weeks. We need to prepare evidence, but we are both finding it harder and harder to cope. I am breaking down in tears daily and am scared about how we will manage the next few weeks until the stress stops.  We have a counsellor, but I cannot see her except on Saturdays because of my work schedule. I am also enduring a long commute to and from work which is causing me even more sadness and stress. I'm at a loss as to how to help myself now.
