Hi Red,

It is great to hear you highlighting the positives about your holiday season. Although your plans might not be as you expected or planned, you are appreciating it! It sounds like you have great plans for Christmas and New Years. Keep us posted, let us know how it pans out.

Members, what plans are you excited about this holiday season?

Red, I think it sounds like a good Christmas plan and I'm sure the keyboard will cheer everyone up and get them in the Holiday spirit.  I am glad you are going to spend time with them either time is a good time, if you are getting to see the grandkids and your son (his wife, too).  I would just go with the flow.
Sounds like you and your partner have awesome plans for Christmas and New Year's have lots of fun then too.  I can't wait to hear about the canoeing in the desert.  I love to canoe.

Well I am still working on the Christmas family thing.  My son  called yesterday and he said  his wife said I could come up for Xmas eve but we would not be having dinner and that he and his wife and kids would be going to a church service at 330 and I could go with them if I wanted.  I felt it would be very hectic getting the kids ready and all with me their and it is a 2 hr commute for me.  I suggested we stay with their original plan and that I would come up with the presents on Tuesday and  I could cook a ham here and bring it with me, all they would need to due is cook some potatoes and a vegetable or if they would like I could cook down here and they could come here for dinner. My son called his wife from work to see if she wanted to do that and she said to tell me thanks but no she doesn't want to do that.  So I guess I will be going up to the house on Tuesday and just hanging around in the garage or the upstairs loft with the grandkids.  I guess I should be thankful that I can drop off the presents and see my son and grandkids.  I bought them a casio piano and thought we could play Christmas music on it my grandson likes to play musical instruments and my grand daughter likes to sing and dance.  I do not know whats wrong up there but it sure doesn't feel right.  Hopefully we can all have a good time with the piano and it will cheer everyone up.   My partner and  I  will spend Christmas together and cook our ham and eat our pie and play with the toys we bought each other so we  are planning on having a nice  Christmas anyway.  We are thinking about going camping in the desert for new year eve there's going to be a full moon and it will be beautiful. It will be a whole new year and the Xmas family thing will be behind us and we are looking forward to the new year.
