Therapy making it worse

19 years ago 0 1 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I also found therapy difficult at first. I was more upset when I left than before the therapy. I think it is normal, because one talk about painfull stuff during therapy. Talk to your therapist about this so that she knows how you feel. Remember therapy is a process and the benefits will only show after several sessions. The good news is that eventually the pain and thoughts will fade away or at least you will be able to cope with it. Just hang in there. :)

I have now gone to therapy twice and it is making me worse. In speaking with my therapist she wants me to come twice a week starting next week. I can't deal with my 2 kids and I am finding it really hard just to cope. I just want the pain and thoughts to go away. I can't remember the last time I had a positive thought. I know I have to wait another couple of weeks to see if my new medication will work, but I don't think I can hang on that long. I don't know how much longer I can hold on. I just want this to end. Any suggestions?
