Hi Emily, Welcome to the site! Thanks for sharing your introduction here with us. Members here truly understand what it is like to experience depression. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. The Depression Center offers personalized, interactive tools that have helped thousands of people challenge and overcome their depression. The core of the Depression Center is our Depression Program which is an interactive, 16-session cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)course. When using cognitive behavioral therapy, each person has unique goals in their treatment. Whatever your motivation, cognitive behavioral therapy is a very effective treatment for depression. You can use the tools whether or not you are taking medication, and whether or not you are currently seeing a therapist or mental health professional. Hi everyone, my name is Emily. I was diagnosed with severe depression a few years ago. Since then I have been on a dozen different meds, in and out of the hospital, and typical depression-related problems. I still have a lot of problems with eating and dieting, and I'm having anxiety attacks. Again. I'm a bit... discouraged. And I'm scared. I need someone to help me out, very badly. I'm starting to worry for myself. Well, I live in the US. I love to read, and listen to music. I like to make things, like cards, jewelry, paintings. My family is a priority, and I love my kitties! I have lot going for me, and I know that. But my moods are unpredictable, and nothing seems to be taking me out of this depression. Someone who understands would be very, very welcomed. Thank you for reading this! <3
