Thank you all for the welcome. I am working hard through this online program and with my counselor and dr. In the last few weeks I have begun to feel like I am coming out of the fog a bit. Still so many questions, still wanting to know and understand why the tears still come but it is getting better. I am glad I found the site and hope that in the days and weeks and months ahead that things become more and more clear to me. Hugs to all- cj

Sweetsurrender,
Welcome to The Depression Center Support Group!
You've come to the right place! If you look to the left of the screen you'll find our program tools that may help you in understanding your depression.
The Depression Test is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.
The Mood Tracker is designed to track the severity of your depression and related symptoms. Research has shown that tracking your mood is an important part of an effective treatment for depression.
As you progress through the Depression Program the worksheets will change as you change. Make sure you give yourself time to do the homework properly - you know your depression best so it's really up to you to decide how often you do your homework. Take your time when you do your homework, there is no rush! Each session in the Depression Program is based on previous sessions, and if you track your mood with your Mood Tracker (and keep notes in the spaces provided) you'll see much improvement over the coming weeks.
At the beginning of each session we give you a Weekly Review, which allows you to see how far you've progressed. We save your Weekly Review results in your Session Diary, so you will see a collection of results, which are all based on what you write in your worksheets.
CBT is a lot of work but the good news is that if you follow the program it will all come together for you as you start to feel better.
We hope we have guided you in the right direction today. We look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Melanie
Hi there, I am new to this board and the center. I was diagnosed just this last year with clinical depression and ptsd. I have been on medication since late May when I was hospitilized. I am trying to get over a -well over being told by the one I loved and who I thought loved me that he felt it was time for us to be over. I struggle with learning to let go, to understand how he could have changed so and with myself for hurting over the abandonment and the awful way he treated me but still loving him. I have never been very confident and I have tended to let others- most especially my family- tell me how to think, live, be. I hope to come here to find some answers and to have an outlet to express my thoughts and feelings.
