I wish I had a swimming pool. It is 85F in the shade, I hate to think what it is in the sun. I started sawing lumber at 9 this morning and three hours later I gave up. I did get some boards cut though. It is ironic that BC has a wealth of trees but you can not buy clear fir. (wood without knots). It gets shipped out of the country. As does all the number one wood. It is a matter of freight. It costs the same to ship a cheap board as an expensive one. Which doesn't explain why we sell logs instead of lumber. So if I want clear wood or odd sizes I have to cut it myself. I have a friend who sells picnic tables out of three inch clear cedar. For an unbelievable price. Supply and demand I guess.
Blood pressure is fine but my pulse was above the high limit. It is coming down but I better watch it. It is the heat. My pond that I pump out of is almost dry. My well will probably go pretty soon. Just waiting for that before putting in a new one, I hope we get some rain in Sept. so I don't have to water. Then I can complain about the rain. There is a breeze now so it is tolerable.
Why am I working in this? So I can go fishing when it cools. Even just get the boat out on a lake for a few hours. Maybe see if I can still swim.
Horse flies come with the heat. I got bit twice. Hard enough to bleed. Never did like them.
There is a connection between pain tolerance and anxiety. I'm far better in both cases than I have been in years. The pain clinic here uses anti anxiety and anti depressants when pain medication isn't working. I think CBT works just as well with less side effect. Easier on the liver and kidneys too.
Much as I don't want to I think of it I will clean house till it cools a bit outside. That could be many hours. It was almost dark yesterday before it cooled.
First I have to patch my leg where I took some skin off with a very heavy board. I'm clumsy with my Arthritis.
