My brother used to beat on me till I fought back. Then he used to beat on me mentally. Any help coming from him came with a price I didn't want to pay. I don't miss him. I never did. You can't miss something you never had.
It's good to see that the odds are in your favor. You must be very excited about being able to have 20/20 vision.
Hugs,
So Sorry to hear about your sib refusing to help you at the doc appointments. I never had any help from my family or my late husbands family when he was ill and the both of us needed some help with his care. It used to make me mad and sometimes it still does put mostly it makes me sad and it made him very sad too while he was still here..
I've done a lot of asking about cataract removal. No one has had any problems. All but one has had there vision corrected to 20 / 20. It is done under local and only takes a few minutes. I'll know more after the 23rd when I see the specialist. I'll know more after the actual procedure. Mine are due to prednisone. Many people go for years if their vision is not totally blocked. As soon as they put in the lens you can see again. The biggest problem will be putting in the drops for a week or more.
I never got any help from by Brother taking care of my Dad. He never even went to the funeral.
I always admire how you deal with those small challenges. What kind of cataract surgery are you considering, since I know I'll be a candidate, and it doesn't go perfectly, either.
I'm feeling a little bagged. Asked sib for help at doc's appointments, and was kicked in the stomach, but I guess I could have known better, since I get uncertainty and it just drains me. No wonder dentists have a high suicide rate, with their constantly inflicting pain on others, but I was asking for help. Something's wrong in margharittaville.
I'm having a fun day even though I'm getting little done. It doesn't matter. Started out with none of the tractors willing to start. Out came the battery charger. I'm done with the little tractor so I backed it into the shed for the winter and promptly ran out of gas. Well that is okay. The bigger tractor is sitting in the driveway waiting for me to put the chains on it for the winter. I sent the bucket out to be repaired and it is waiting for that first. $300.00 for that. Years ago I would have done it myself. Can't see good enough with the cataract now. Well that will get fixed.
So now I'm going to cook a pumpkin to make a pie and transfer some wine into clean carboys so I can bottle it in a month or so. Just a hobby. Just something to do on a nice sunshiny day. And of course I hope you are all having a good day.
Good to see you here. Time for me to offer you some encouragement - That sounds so foreign !!! I was avoiding work and meetings for fear of panicking but your words (blunt, firm, encouraging, caring...) spurred me on and I have been doing it despite the tense muscles, dizziness and anxiety and panic attacks but we cant overcome what we dont face - who said that?? :-) I am sure you will be fine. You have plenty of positive thoughts to counter the negative. You won and will win again. Take care. My thoughts are with you. Naa
Thanks for the update. I do care and worry about you but of course you knew that already because we have been such close and good friends on the site here for many years now..I am glad we can all talk and bounce things off each other here and more importantly lean on each other here when we feel we need to..This one thing is Excellent medicine..
Have a great day today and happy hunting for a driver..
You have always been here for me as has everyone else. The appointment is not till the 23rd so I have time to se if I can hire someone to go with me. Funny thing about the city, no one likes spending a day there. No one goes unless they have too. I'm going to google the address and see how hard it is to find it.
This kind of exposure this old man could do without. :-)
